June Favorites

Hello Lovelies! It's time for monthly favorites again! I have to say I'm so excited it is July. July has always been my favorite month of the year, not just because my birthday is on the 18th, but also because my boyfriend and I celebrate our anniversary (when we first started dating) at the beginning of the month. This year we will be celebrating 5 years together! Hard to believe how quickly time has flown by, but I am so happy to be celebrating this milestone with him! I hope you all had a wonderful June and are looking forward to July as much as I am!

Now on to monthly favorites! In June, I rediscovered a few forgotten loves such as Benefit's the Porefessional  Primer and their Watt's Up! Highlighter. I also found a few new favorites, such as MAC's Cremesheen Glass in Right Image, the perfect everyday pink gloss. I hope you enjoy!

One of my favorite products of June had to be Benefit's Porefessional Primer. I love how this product creates a smooth canvas, helping foundation & any other face products to glide effortlessly over the skin. It also helps my foundation last longer & not go patchy throughout the day. For concealer, I returned to an old stand-by as well, Clinique's Airbrush Concealer. This concealer is HG for me! Not only does it conceal dark circles & any blemishes on my face, but it has a slight illuminating effect which helps to further detract from any flaws. I have repurchased this concealer countless times over the years and always seem to come back to it.

For the eyes, I am still enjoying Revlon's Photoready 3D Mascara (this was also in my May Favorites). The more I use this mascara, the more I love it! It lengthens, curls & volumizes my lashes. Also, no flaking whatsoever & it comes off easily with warm water at the end of the day. My eye makeup remover of choice in June was Lancome's Bi-Facil. This remover does cost a pretty penny, but a tiny bit goes a very long way. With just a little bit of product splashed on a cotton pad, even my toughest waterproof eye liners were no match for this remover. It is also exceptionally gentle on the eye area;  my eyes are never blurry or irritated after using it.

For my cheeks, I pulled out my much loved tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface & wore it almost every day in June. I absolutely love the color of this blush. I generally shy away from pink blushes because they are often too blue-toned to suit my skin, however this pink is neutral enough that it really flatters my complexion. I have been eyeing the Amazonian Clay Blush in Blissful, a gorgeous peach-coral, for a long time now & have a feeling that July might finally be the month I see it come home with me as well. Also in June, I rediscovered the amazing Benefit Watt's Up! Highligher. This product really does miracles for a dull complexion (review here).

MAC Cremesheen Glasses are some of my favorite lip glosses on the market. They are incredibly smooth, not overly shimmery & smell divine (like vanilla sugar). This month, I was introduced to my favorite shade to date, Right Image, a flattering medium-toned sheer pink. Perfection! On my nails, I mainly wore Essie's Off the Shoulder, a fun, neutral hot pink from Essie's Bikini So Teeny Collection for Summer 2012.

What were your favorite products in June? Thanks for reading!

Lots of Love,

Louise

  3. Great products! I wish we could get the Tarte blushes in Australia, I've just heard so many amazing things about them and the colours are gorgeous! One of my favourites this month has been the MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner in Petting Pink. I'd had it for a while and kind of neglected it but it has come back into action this month haha.

    1. Thanks for the comment Amy! It's such a bummer that tarte is only available in the US & certain other countries. Hopefully they will expand to Australia soon!
