I have a confession to make. I have a bit of a beauty girl crush on the adorable beauty blogger/ youtube guru Vivianna of Vivianna Does Makeup fame. Not only does she seem like such a sweet and genuine girl, but her makeup is spot on! I love that she concentrates more on great skincare and minimal yet effective makeup. So, lately I have been feeling particularly inspired by the lovely Ms. Vivianna and have been embracing a more minimal makeup routine on myself as well. And I have to say I am really enjoying the look!
On my face I have been wearing my Benefit Porefessional Primer and then smoothing a bit of tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Tinted Moisturizer over my face with my finger tips. The skin is finished off with a generous amount of Maybelline's Dream Lumi Concealer in Ivory (not enough sleep makes for some pretty scary dark circles) followed by a light dusting of MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder to set everything.
For the eyes my main objective is to brighten and define with multiple coats of volumizing black mascara and light-reflecting colors on the lids. For eyeshadow I have been using Benefit's Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in RSVP, a beautiful champagne, followed by MAC's All That Glitters across the lid and MAC's Nylon in the inner corners. I originally purchased All that Glitters after watching one of Vivianna's makeup tutorials, and have fallen in love! It is such a flattering shade and is by far my favorite MAC eyeshadow to date. Eyes are completed with multiple coats of mascara. Right now I am using MUFE Smokey Lash Mascara (I like it, but it's no HG).
For the cheeks, it has been all about my new favorite Benefit Boxed Powder, Hervana. I then add some dimension to my cheekbones with Benefit's Watt's Up! Highlighter.
On the lips I have been switching between various light pink glosses, but I am currently enjoying the Clinique Chubby Stick in Mighty Mimosa, a neutral medium pink color.
And that's it! The entire routine takes me no more than 10 minutes and I am out the door!
What are your go-to products for Fall or when you want a minimal makeup look?
