Dr. Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream

Hello Lovelies! Today I want to talk to you about a miracle (at least for me) face product that I have been using for the past few weeks, Dr. Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Face Cream. I originally heard about this cream from watching Tanya Burr, one of my favorite makeup artist and beauty gurus on Youtube.

This face cream has been a god-send for my overly reactive skin.  I can't even recall how many skin care products, foundations, primers and even bronzers that I have had to return this past year because my skin developed a bad reaction or broke out from them. Using this product as my night cream has helped my skin feel more comfortable, balanced, and hydrated than I can remember it feeling in a long time. If you have sensitive or reactive skin, or if you are just looking for a wonderful night cream, Dr. Weil Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Soothing Cream just might be the ideal addition to your skin care routine.

Origins says "this remarkably hydrating cream with Dr. Weil's famed Mega-Mushroom blend instantly helps calm and soothe skin. Helps visibly reduce redness and sensitivity. Narcissus Lily Bulb helps defend against skin agers. Makes skin stronger, more resilient. Great for sensitive and reactive skin."

This cream is full of amazingly potent natural ingredients such as tonic mushrooms, sea buckthorn, ginger, tumeric, and holy basil. From personal experience, I can't say this cream has done much for redness because well, redness isn't really an issue I have. I can however say that this arsenal of effective natural ingredients has done wonders for calming and hydrating my reactive combo skin, as well as making it more resilient. I have hardly had a single break out since I started using this product. Hallelujah!

The texture of this cream is unlike any I have ever tried, and is honestly a little difficult to explain. It does not feel greasy or full of silicone, but is dense and pillowy to the touch. Upon application, it just sinks right into the skin and feels wonderfully luxurious.  When I wake up the next morning my face feels so comfortable, hydrated, and vibrant looking.

The smell of this cream was minorly off-putting to me at first. It has a slightly odd "natural" smell to it, which considering all the ingredients, makes perfect sense. The scent however does not linger after you have applied it, and I actually have grown to enjoy it over time.

Although this cream is expensive at $61.00 for 1.7 fluid ounces, I feel that it is well worth the price. I find a little bit goes a long way, and considering my previous Origins face cream lasted me approximately 6 months, I don't feel too guilty about purchasing this. Also, I would much rather spend my money on expensive, yet effective skin care, than waste money on makeup needed to cover up issues caused by less expensive skin care products.
I can't find a single negative thing to say about the Dr. Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Soothing Face Cream. I am so wildly impressed by it, I am also considering buying the face wash from the line when I run out of my current one. Please, do yourself a favor and at least sample this cream next time you are at an Origins counter- you won't regret it!
Thanks for reading! Hope you all have a great week!
Lots of Love,
Louise

  1. I have exceptionally dry skin, would you recommend it to me? I need a new moisturiser. As it stands, Vaseline moisturiser seems like the only non prescriptive one I can use!
