Review & Swatches: Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Cream Shadow

Hello Lovelies! If you saw my last post (Spring Products Wish List), you might know that one of the Spring makeup releases I was lusting over was the new Smashbox 15 Hour Limitless Cream Shadows.

I decided to stop by my local Sephora this afternoon and was very excited upon entering the store, to see these new shadows displayed! I quickly got to swatching the whole gorgeous range of colors. And because I love my readers so much, I had to pull out my iphone & share it all with you!

Sephora offers the Limitless 15 Hour Cream Shadows in 8 stunning shades, ranging from neutral to jewel-toned:

Topaz- golden, pewter beige

Riches- true yellow gold

Gemstone- bronzey mauve

Icon- bronze

Neptune- deep peacock teal with green shimmer

Saphire- deep iridescent navy blue

Iris- blackened plum

Stone- cement with olive shimmer

Below, I have included some swatches of all the colors. I apologize if it is not the best lighting, I was trying to do this while shopping & as to attract the least amount of attention as possible!

Swatches Top to Bottom: Topaz, Riches, Gemstone, Icon, Neptune, Saphire, Iris, Stone

Out of all the gorgeous colors, I decided to take Topaz, the shimmery golden beige color home with me. A part of me was torn between purchasing one of the more daring jewel toned shades, but I knew I would get the most use out of a light neutral shade. I know, how predictable of me! I did also particularly love Icon & Gemstone though, and might have to go back to pick them up as well.

As far as the claim to their "limitless" wear time, I walked around the mall the rest of the afternoon with the swatches on my arm without a single smudge. I also have to add that I had to do quite a substantial amount of scrubbing with my makeup remover wipe to get these off. The darker colors actually left a faint stain on my arm, so I recommend you use a good makeup remover with these.

The formula feels incredibly smooth & soft. No gritty glitter particles here! These cream shadows are also incredibly pigmented. I can see one of these pots lasting ages because you only need a tiny amount of product to cover the entire eyelid. For reference, I found that these were much easier to blend than the MUFE Aqua Creams. They are much more opaque than most MAC Paint Pots I have used, although the formula feels very similar to the touch.

So far, I am very impressed with the Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Cream Shadows! The color range and formula is fantastic- there really is a color suitable for every skin tone & preference.  I can't wait to use my pot long into the Summer months!

Thanks for reading!

Lots of Love,

Louise
