Today I'm Wearing #9: NARS Ramatuelle

Hello Lovelies! Happy Hump Day (Wednesday)! Today I wanted to share with you a makeup look that I have been wearing the last few days. It's a naturally pretty combination, consisting of shades of peach & apricot on the eyes, paired with peachy pinks on the cheeks & lips.  The star of this look is a new addition to my collection, the NARS Eye Shadow Trio in Ramatuelle.

 NARS Ramatuelle is new for Summer 2012 and has created a bit of hype in the beauty community. It consists of a shimmery pale silver, icy light peach, and a matte apricot shade. The two lighter shimmery shades have a gorgeous metallic glow to them, while the matte apricot has more of a satin finish. Upon first glance, the color selection may seem a little strange. I myself wondered how they would work on the face. However, true to NARS form, the colors mesh together on the eyelid to create a sophisticated, lovely look. With the contrast of cooler shimmery shades & the warm apricot countour, the look is equally wearable & slightly edgy.  The colors are wonderfully velvety & blend effortlessly. I am absolutely in love with this trio & am very happy that I took the plunge & added this lovely product to my eyeshadow collection.

When I wear this trio, I apply the icy peach shade all over the lid, the apricot blended into the crease, and a mixture of the silver & peach along the lower lash line. Topped off with a little black gel liner, peach blush & pinky peach lips, this look is perfect for every day. 

Please note that the swatches below are heavy in order to show the true colors. The apricot shade looks much more muted & wearable when blended.
